Application For Employment (html)

Application for Employment (pdf)

The application can be brought to the job interview. The interviews are done in Logan or Bear Lake. To schedule an interview, please call Brian at 435-757-4399.

  • Applicants must be 18 or older. The pay is $7.50/ hour. There is a potential bonus at the end of the summer.
  • The work season is approximately Memorial Day to Labor Day, weather depending. We can usually work around school at the end of August, but we ask all the employees to come back to work the Labor Day weekend. Our really busy time is July 1 - Aug 20.
  • The job description includes renting motorized and non-motorized watercraft equipment (Boats, Sea-Doos, Paddleboats, etc.) to customers on the beach at Bear Lake. This involves taking reservations, running the till, issuing life jackets, checking the equipment in and out, telling customers the rules, showing how to operate the equipment, launching boats with tractors, fueling machines, putting equipment away with the tractors, etc. All employees rotate between the office and the beach. We have training at the beginning of the season to learn all the duties.
  • It is required that you live at Bear Lake during the summer to be considered for employment. Most employees have a friend or family that have lodging at Bear Lake that they stay in. Limited male employee housing is available with our company only if you do not have another place to stay.
  • You would be expected to work all weekends and holidays. Employees usually work 5 days a week, and the days off are usually on weekdays. We are normally open on the weekdays from 9:00 am to about 6:00 pm. On Saturday's we are generally at work from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm. On Sunday's we open a little later at 11:00 am. Working 5 days a week you will usually work more than 40 hours a week during the busy part of the season. All hours worked are paid at the normal pay rate and not overtime.
  • There are opportunities for you to take the equipment out and ride during your days off or after work Monday-Thursday. You only need to pay for the gas you use.
  • We are the largest company at Bear Lake providing recreation with 6 rental shop locations. We hire a group of 25-30 wonderful employees each summer to staff the 6 locations. (MAP) We have a lot of employees return each year and many that end up forming lasting friendships.
  • We look for individuals who are committed to working the whole summer, who are hard-working, honest, responsible, dependable, friendly, good with people, and can learn quickly on the job the necessary skills through the training we provide.
  • The job can be considered a fun job, but there is a lot of work and responsibility that goes along with it. Our philosophy is “work hard, play hard”. If you are looking for a job where you can do the minimal amount of work possible with little responsibility, this is not the job for you. If you are looking for a job that is satisfying, adventurous, challenging, fun, and located in one of the most beautiful outdoor settings anywhere in the world, then this is the job for you.
